Recruitment is a complex process in which every member of the fraternity must be involved in because it is a group process. The first step in the process is contact. Contact usually occurs in the form of cold calling and facebook messaging. This is the initial step that one must take before recruitment may begin. The aim is to get in contact maybe invite him out for a fun event, or a dinner that is paid for by the house. During the recruitment period the fraternity holds events such as barbeques, movie nights, parties etc. This gives us a chance to get to know those who are interested in the fraternity life. We also have information booths and brochures that we use throughout the year, letting the consumer (the students) know everything that they want to know up front.
